Los machos de los Odonatos poseeen una exclusividad en el mundo animal: tienen la genitalia dividida. La secundaria (órgano reproductor) es esa protuberancia que se puede observar en la cara ventral a la altura del 2º segmento y la genitalia primaria (testículos) en la misma cara al final del abdomen , menos ostensible.
Este macho de Trithemis annulata me permitió fotografiarlo desde un ángulo que nos permite apreciar esta circunstancia. He puesto dos notas.

The males of the Odonatos possess an exclusivity in the animal world: they have divided genitalia.
