Gollum´s Fall • Gollums Wasserfall

Clouds thick with rain covered the sky, when I visited Tawhai Falls at Tongariro Nationalpark, New Zealand.
It was here where the scene of Gollum is eating his fish was filmed for the movie »The Lord of the Rings«.
It was so gloomy I literally was waiting for Gollum to turn up again.
But that was impossible because according to the script he fell into the firepits of Mount Doom, which looms around the corner.
Dicke Regenwolken zogen übers Land, als ich den Tawhai Wasserfall im Tongariro Nationalpark in Neuseeland besuchte.
Hier wurde die Szene gedreht, in der Gollum im ersten Teil von »Herr der Ringe« seinen Fisch isst.
Es war so dunkel, dass ich unwillkürlich darauf gewartet habe, dass Gollum wieder dort auftaucht. Das wäre aber unmöglich, weil er laut Skript in den um die Ecke liegenden Mount Doom gefallen ist.
