E25 "Kakerlake"
Thank you to Lt. Pineapple for designing this beauty.
E25
Standardization for Panzer III Panzer IV tanks and varients
25-50 tons
Similar to a Jadpanzer 38 (Hetzer)
Some info, originally from my E50 post: The Entwicklung series of tanks was designed to standardize German tank production. Throughout the war, German armor was made up of many different vehicles with different parts and production methods. The "E" series was designed to make tanks with more easily produced parts, which were similar in all models (E10, E25, E50, E75, and E100). Therefore, repairs could be made with parts from any of the vehicles.
The Germans could not keep up with Allied production, but this system was meant to change that. It began in 1942 and 1943, but was canceled by Hitler in 1944. The E100 is the only tank of the series to get to the prototype stage, with one chassis built. With the war ending, none ever got far. This is a what-if scenario that could have come to place in the later months of 1945 or 1946.
The E25 was to be armed with a 75mm Pak 40 L/70. Some variants show a machine gun turret, possibly for low anti-air use.
This version has the turret, I just need to find a way to attach a machine gun.
The commander is shown for scale, plus I love the autumn oakleaf camo I got. This is much closer to what something may have looked like than my crazy E50 panzer crewmen.
Thanks for looking, I always appreciate your feedback!
