Border of the Reich, mid 1945
Another look at alternate history. By this point, the German army has pushed all the way to the Urals. With the Soviets in retreat and Uncle Joe strung up, the Germans took the time to build a large defensive line just east of the Urals dubbed "the Gugnir Line." Strategically a bad choice to build the defenses to the west of the mountains, The Reich gained even more territory. The defenses are made up of deep trenches, bunkers, anti-air installations (including surface to air missiles), Anti-tank guns and obastacles, mines, electrified barbed wire, and infantry defenses.
Shown is a deep trench.
Soldiers are armed with MG 45s (updated MG42s), MP 41s, G43-Vs, Lugers, and others. Soldiers often customized weapons in their free time. Many men are garrisoned along the line, a large percent being new recruits while vets are fighting in more active regions.
Figs are by TMC, mostly from from the old "MRU Day"
Guns are by Brickarms, mods by me. Credit to Forestman for the extended G43 mags.
After almost 1200 parts ordered from Bricklink over the past few months, I'm calling it done. It is very plain, yes, but it is supposed to be in a fairly treeless/brushless area of Russia.
I know the pictures are bad, I don"t have a good camera (not even a real camera).
