Then and Now
Recently went back to Wales to visit my mother, took mt youngest daughter to visit her Nain(Grandma) for the first time. So I showed her places where my family lived. I have had this old photo from my grandmothers album for a long time, its of a young female, possibly a sibling or niece to my grandmother, sadly no name on the photo. So I got my daughter to stand almost at the same spot to try and compare. The house 128 High St Blaenau Ffestiniog, is where my Grand Mother Annie Mary Evans (nee Hughes) was born on 18 Sept 1884, and lived. The street has has had a make over, and for some reason 128 High St, has not been touched. Other than the windows and the hideous plastic pipes the house has hardly changed in over a 100yrs.
