Rev John C Lawton of Kellett-Street,

North Kew, died yesterday at the age of

52 years. He was born In Geelong,

where he entered the ministry, and subsequently-

served for several years as a mis-

sionary in Fiji. Upon returning to Vic

toria, he was stationed at Golden Square,

Bendlgo, and afterwards at Brunswick,

whence he retired to the supernumerary

ranks. Deceased leaves a widow and a

family of four.
