The Former Daniel & Robertson Brick Works

Established in 1854...closed in 2015, cleared to pave the way for 450 houses/units.

"CBRE’s Paul Tzamalis said the site had been "earmarked for an imminent rezone to support residential development as part of Whitehorse City Council’s Mega Mile structure plan.”

He also said the 4.9 hectare property had a history spanning more than 150 years and would continue to play a pivotal role in the area.

“The brickworks site has been the cornerstone of Nunawading since the late 1800s, giving rise to jobs and infrastructure for the area,” he added.

Nunawading's Mega Mile was identified as a Major Activity Centre under the state government’s Melbourne 2030 strategy – an initiative which aims to guide the future growth of the area over the next 15 years.

The former Daniel Robertson brickworks site, at 56-74 Station St, sold for $21.7m late last year to residential developer AusGroup Property and Development.
