Full Auto Shooter
A Sky Full of Stars (and one plane)
The weather hasn’t been that great and last night was the 1st clear(ish) night I’ve had the chance to put my recently bought Viltrox 13mm f1.4 to the test for astro shots. I headed off to Spelga Dam in the Mournes area which would probably be one of the darkest areas we have in Northern Ireland. I brought the two children with me to let them see what the night sky looks like away from the light polluted Belfast and they weren’t disappointed, they actually got out of the car for 5 minutes. This was a 15 second exposure, f2.0 and iso 1600. I usually take planes out of any astro photos but I decided to leave this one in.
It’s hard to take it in that a lot of those stars may be thousands of light years away and some may no longer exist and then that Boeing 737 travelling from Gran Canaria is only 38000 ft up!!
Thanks for looking!
