Every night, I dream of her

These nightmares, are a cruel joke

They haunt my very being, my eternal soul

We run into each others arms

In a field much unlike this one

Leaves blow in the Autumn breeze

We lay upon the blades of grass

The ground is warm, blanketed by the afternoon sun

We hold each other tightly, forgotten by time

I kiss her lips

She looks into my eyes, her love undying

Then I awaken, cold and alone

And she is gone

I look down, at these twisted hands

...This ugly face

Would she recognize me, this monster I have become

Would her heart, still belong to me

What I wouldn't give, to hold her in my arms

To hold her one last time

I've felt darkness all my life, except with her

I am empty...
