Kuwait Navy Base, Kuwait (June 22, 2006)-- Lieutenant Sulaiman al-Kandari, of the Kuwait Naval Special Unit, discusses mine disposal techniques with members of his team of sailors and divers during Explosive Ordnance Disposal training at Kuwait Navy Base conducted by US Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit SIX (EODMU 6) Detachment 14 deployed with the Enterprise Carrier Strike Group. The Enterprise Carrier Strike Group is currently deployed as part of a routine rotation of U.S. maritime forces in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, as well as conducting Maritime Security Operations (MSO) in the region. MSO helps set the conditions for security and stability in the maritime environment as well as complement the counterterrorism and security efforts of regional nations. MSO deny international terrrorists use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons, or other material.
