Ida, ook Psiloritis genoemd, is het gebergte dat zich centraal op Kreta bevindt. Het grootste deel bevindt zich in het departement Rethymnon. Volgens de mythologie is het Ida gebergte (de grot Idaion Antron) de geboorteplaats van Zeus. Het Ida gebergte is omvangrijk en imposant en is vanaf bijna alle plaatsen op Kreta te zien. 's Winters en tot nog lang in het voorjaar zijn de toppen besneeuwd. Psiloritis is met haar 2456 meter hoogte de hoogste bergtop van Kreta.
