Death Valley Flowers
In the springtime, if the conditions are optimal, the Death Valley blooms as the desert comes alive with fields of flowers. That year we tried our luck out at the Ibex Sand Dunes. We ventured out on the washboard road to the backcountry Ibex Sand Dunes. It was a good sign to see yellow coreopsis flowers along the road. On our hike out to the dunes we found quite a good display of the fragrant sand verbena wildflowers as well. The southern end of Death Valley was fragrant with scent of the sand verbena flowers. As I was climbing the dunes the sunset started. I was trying to find a shot the flower and the dunes. And then I found these sand verbena beauties.
