Suri-Huacaya Differences

This picture shows the main difference between Suri and Huacaya alpacas. The Suri fleece lays flat against the body in long twisted locks. The Huacaya fleece grows straight out from the body in corrugated waves called crimp. Suri alpacas make up only about 20% of the US alpaca population.
