Everyone on Deck

This is the remains of the SS Monte Carlo in Coronado California.

The SS Monte Carlo was a gambling and prostitution ship that was anchored a few miles of the coast back in the 1930's. In 1937 the SS Monte Carlo lost anchor and drifted up onto the shoreline in Coronado. Once beached no one came forward to claim ownership since it was illegal once it touched land.

The ship wreck can be seen during negative low tides, but every once in a while when the sands get washed away more of the wreckage is exposed as happened here in February due to the strong El Nino storms.

I thought I was smart going down on Superbowl Sunday to check it out while the game was going on, evidently I was not the only one with the same thought. What you don't see in this picture is the crowd of people behind me, the professional photographer with 2 models and flash stands trying to take pictures and the 4 other people operating 4 drones above our heads.
