Snow in San Diego ?
Yes, San Diego does get some snow once in a while. The snow level doesn't get to low so you need to drive to the local mountains to see it sometimes. This particular morning I got up at 4am so I could make the 1 hour drive out and climb Stonewall Peak in the Cuyamaca Mountains to try and get some of the sunrise colors,....I should have started a 1/2 hour earlier.
This particular morning was great for hiking in the snow. The snow had just fallen the night before and the temperature was around 23 degrees so that the snow was nice and fluffy. It was a beautiful day to experience hiking in the snow.
My only regrett was having my professional camera in my back pack and taking some of the better pictures this day with my phone.
