Reflections

When I finally made it to Garnet Lake I immediately thought of doing a milky way with it, but I had to wait until the moon dipped behind the mountains. So I set my alarm for 11pm, when I thought the moon would dip behind the mountains and tried to get some sleep ( it can be hard to do at 10,000 feet). After getting about an hour of shut eye I woke up at 10 pm and noticed that the shadows cast by the moon on the side of my tent where gone and I decided to get out there as soon as possible to do some shooting. What a great experience.

A composite of two photos, one for the milky way and the lake and one for the landscape. The 180 seconds are for the landscape, the Milky Way was at 30 seconds.

Used Rokinon 14mm f2.8

Processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.
