KCS 2016 on I47 - Meeting Metra

KCS 2016, a relatively rare "Grey Ghost" GP38-2, idles away at the Hi-Cone plant in Itasca, IL with local switch job I47, waiting for its crew to return from a nearby convenience store.

 

While it waits, METX 503 scurries by with an outbound MD-W train.

 

Quite the contrast between old and new locomotives.
