Alco Coming to Life
IRM's Toledo, Peoria & Western Alco C424 #800, currently painted as Morristown and Erie 15, has been lifeless at the museum since being delivered, but during the 2022 Showcase Weekend, visitors were treated to volunteers being able to fire up the locomotive briefly while diagnosing the engine's problems.
Here's hoping that all issues are fixed for next year's Diesel Days!
