Right at Home

Homewood used to be one of the northernmost points on the former Illinois Central, dubbed "The Mainline of Mid-America".

 

Today, it's a CN town, though some IC SD70s still remain, like #1000, seen here passing by the water tower on its way into the yard to do some switching.

 

Almost like old times.
