What a Mess!

In the wee hours of Christmas Eve morning, UP train MPRNP ended up having a massive 39 car derailment just to the west of Dixon, IL.

 

I was able to get several photos of the wreckage as crews worked to clear and restore the mains. Thankfully, no one was hurt.

 

Not every day this happens around my hometown!
