Disclaimer, I'm not a portrait photographer. I'm a nature photographer, I just wanted to take a photo to use as my profile photo for my Flickr page. I've always been fascinated by black and white portraits, so I started to experiment one afternoon. If a professional portrait photographer would have seen my very crude setup, they would have laughed or cried or both. Having said this, I have the highest regard for portrait photographers! On the plus side, I got in a good workout running between the camera and the chair, because I don't have a wireless trigger for the camera.
