Karakoram Hwy, Sept 1986. Mother and child
Hundreds of people gathered from far and wide, at a small village for a wedding.
While the men were gathered outside, talking and eating, the women and younger kids were mostly indoors. The bride (not this young woman) was in this building, hidden away behind a red curtain. The women here were fussing over her, awaiting the ceremony. I didn't see where the cooking was being done, but it must have been busy there.
Shot originally with a Nikon FM2 on Kodak Gold 100 film. Negative photographed with Fujifilm X-T1 and MCEX-16 extension tube. Reversal and processing in Lightroom
