The Red Dress Project

This is one of dozens of red dresses that were hung in a Vancouver park as a memorial to the many murdered and missing aboriginal women in Canada. This is an ongoing problem going back decades, that is only recently beginning to receive the attention it deserves from law enforcement and governments. There are many hundreds of unsolved cases. Métis artist Jamie Black originated the Red Dress Project.
