IllÁt-36N 'Footman'

A formation of Illát-36 'Footmen' above the Grópac-Syldavian borderlands.

Illyuzsë-Átavia was asked to participate in the 1961 Central Pact VTOL Airframe competitions and sent four airframes in 1964. They performed well, with only one crashing too hard to be salvaged or repaired, but would be led on as a singularly Grópac project after the collapse of the Central Pact geopolitical venture's failure. Full-scale production would begin with the -36N, although by this point international analysts (referred to by its western designation 'Footman') are unsure if it has retained its original VTOL capabilities in exchange for increased performance in other sectors. One of the most oddly-shaped production aircraft, the IllÁt-36N is one of the trademark aircraft of the Grópac Democratic Republic's Airforce.

Thanks to Awe for moral support throughout the four-or-five-day ordeal that was this plane's construction.

It's a Yak-36, the soviet prototype predecessor to the Yak-38 VTOL fighter.

In general life news, I'm a single man as of ~4 months ago, and I'm finally going back to school to study IT. It's pretty boring, but it's a community college so the classes are pretty small and that helps a lot. I'm trying to save up for a 1982 Rolls Royce or Lincoln...

Malaise best car era, fuck u if u a hater.
