My entry for the electric loco category looks more like an out-house on wheels than a train. This diminutive engine is one of a pair providing the motive power for the Hythe Pier Railway in Hampshire.

 

Originally built by Brush Traction as a battery electric locomotive, these little engines have been converted to run off a 250V DC third rail,
