Diff 14

Apologies for the quality of the video. Unlike the SBrick app, the Powered Up app doesn't have a "set and forget" feature, which means that I've had to resurrect an ancient digital camera to record this video.

This is my little Fairbanks Morse H10-44 switcher which started out as a design bought from Rebrickable and then modified. This uses two PUp M motors driving a differential gear with a final ratio of 1:1. The loco here is shown accelerated slowly up to full speed and back down to a stop.

Thanks to the differential this model has excellent slow speed control. I had wanted to try and gear this model up to have 1:3 gearing but these motors don't have sufficient power to move the train. There's just a lot of whining and no movement.
