Hod Carrier
Jaguar 01
This is a model of the SEPECAT Jaguar GR3a. It's another one of Salim Karali's excellent aircraft designs.

This is a model that I simply had to build. Growing up in Norfolk, RAF Jaguars operating from the nearby Coltishall airbase were almost a daily sight in the sky and as a result I have always felt a strong affinity with this aircraft. It was a far simpler and more rugged machine than it's stablemates the Harrier and Tornado but, thanks to some fairly advanced technology for it's day, it was still a potent strike aircraft. It's modus operandii was "fast and low", a tactic which relied on pilot skill rather than technological aids like terrain following radar.
