Livigno Alps and Ortler Alps
The Livigno and Orlter Alps as seen from Munt Pers. The Livigno Alps are located at the border of Switzerland and Italy in the east of Kanton Graubünden, and the Ortler Alps in the Südtirol.
In the foreground lies Piz Lagalb (2959 m), the other side of the Diavolezza resort, while the road on the right crosses the Berninapass. The Ortles/Ortler (3905 m) and the Gran Zebrù/Königspitze (3851 m) are located in the background. The Ortles used to be highest summit of Austria-Hungary before Südtirol joined Italy.
Other notable summits are the Piz Paradisino (3305 m, center) and the Scima da Saoseo (3264 m, far right).
