Morteratschgletscher and the Bernina range

This amazing landscape is the rewarding view after a walk from Morteratsch station up to the Morteratschgletscher. One can realize there how much the glacier has retreated since the station was built in the late 19th century.

 

Piz Bernina, the highest summit of the Bernina Alps, can be seen on the right with its famous Biancograt.
