Piz Palü - 3900 meters above sea - my favorite mountain II

The Piz Palü is my absolute favorite mountain in the Alps. More than half a dozen times I have been on the Diavolezza and admired him. Passed it twice from east to west at a young age - a lasting memory.

On the left the Piz Palü with the three peaks, the third, sloping ridge named as Spinasgrat. From the rocky Fortezza ridge, descend to the Vadret Pers (Pers glacier), which joins the Morteratsch glacier further down. The difference in altitude from the middle summit to the Pers glacier is a staggering 900 meters! With a unique beautiful view over the Eastern Alps.

From the center of the picture to the right is the Bellavista group and the small rocky peak, Crast` Agüzza. Photographed as a single panorama with 8256 x 4205 pixels.
