Male and female engaged in allopreening, which is a type of appeasement behavior. Allopreening is known to happen during pair formation where each bird gentle nibbles the feathers of in head and neck regions of the other bird. Is often observed during selection of possible nest-sites, nest-building, and prior to mating.
