Prairie Warbler
This guy was the first of many for the morning... he loved those low perches, which is always fun because it allows you to see more of the bird than you would if they were high up in the canopy, which Prairies sometimes do. I like that this image really displays all of the defining characteristics of his plumage, from the distinctive facial pattern to the russet stripes on the mantle, the latter of which is probably my favorite of their field marks.
