"Hiding in Plain Sight" (Common Nighthawk)

If you visit Pawnee National Grassland at any point throughout the summer, there's a fine chance you'll see one of these cryptically-colored goatsuckers sleeping atop a post or a tree branch. They're rather tame, probably because they rely on their apparent camouflage to protect them... unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work well when they're out in the open.
