Maria and Jason at Narcissa's

Talented artist and wonderful woman Maria with me at the Day of the Dead party at Narcissa's. Day of the Dead is a spanish tradition instead of Halloween. You bring a photo of a loved one that has passed and their favorite food. People sang and spoke about Narcissa but also everyone we loved and who are gone from us. The photos of loved ones are placed together on a table with candles and words are spoken and songs were sung and there is food to eat. Every year Narcissa would have this day of the dead party and sadly this year we all missed her the most. I can't say that she was there, I like to think she was. Perhaps they can see us, those who gather. However, the several times I have been back to Narcissa's home I felt she was no longer there. The life force as it may be called was not there. Narcissa had a special energy that let you know she was in residence. It was after all her home for 45 years. I like to think she is safe in spirit in the places that are open to the good kind souls. A place of rest but activity of matters of the spirit, doing good. Yes I think so...she is in the temple of the muse teaching brusied souls how to heal. Now these days only the living sleep to dream, if there are any left to slip into that may comfort a tired out life.
