Jason models for Art Class Narcissa's Sketch
Friday night I posed for my friend Narcissa's art class and a couple of the artists were kind enough to give me their sketches. I was slightly nervous being observed so closely but it was for arts sake and everyone was kind. My friend Narcissa herself sketched this one. I had to ask her since three people gave me their drawnings to keep. I wasn't sure who was who. But afterwards I spent the night at Narcissa's home and we really talked about life. I felt very safe for once in a long time. We talked about life and death as the April rains came down. She showed me pictures of her brother that had died. I told her my secrets of a torn life. She told me before I went to bed in the spare room, she said "you know you never deserved any of it don't you?" I turned slowly back on the staircase and said "I like to hope so." Then I went to the room with the water woman painting and stared at it while the rain poured around the eves and my friend went to bed downstairs. I listened to the house sounds and all was quiet but the rain on the roof in April and I was not afraid about my life.
That night I was home and safe under one roof with a loved friend.
everything was going to be alright.
