Winchester Mystery House- San Jose

In 1884, a weathy widow named Sara Winchester began a construction project that would occupy the lives of carpenters and craftsmen for thirty-eight years, until her death. The 160 room Victorian mansion is filled with unexplained oddities. Such as doorways going to nowhere, staircases just ending at roofs, and one door opens to a second story drop. The number 13 is used in nearly every aspect of the house as well. A psychic told her to build a home for all the Native American spirits killed by the Winchester Rifle. Beautiful stained glass windows are stuck into walls never seeing sunlight and the stangest thing is that there are ghosts wandering the maze like mansion some still building and doing what they did in life which was work around the clock day and night.
