Keckwick (2) - 47805 (D1935) on the rear of the Snowdonia Statesman
Finally Railtours are back on the mainline following the relaxation of Covid rules.
With what was supposed to be a clear sky (!) I took the chance of photographing the first of this years Snowdonia Statesman tours as it passed through Keckwick heading for the North Wales coast.
A large bank of cloud had just cleared enough to capture LSL’s two tone green liveried D1935/47805 acting as tail end Charlie through Keckwick cutting towards Runcorn with 1Z88 05:49 Hull - Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Hauling the train (see previous picture) was large logo liveried 47593 “Galloway Princess”.
Thanks to one of our local gardeners for opening up this shot by removing a large bush. I hadn’t originally noticed it had been removed!
Taken on Wednesday 19th March.
