The pride of the city: The Cathedral of Ribe. Can you believe it – one of the reasons this was build back in 1800 century was that Ribe has lost so much of its richness. Ones Denmark’s most import city with a king a trade in the harbor. Now much of it was lost. So what to do? Hey – lets rebuild the Cathedral and make it big and great! It will make the city attractive for tourists. It took 100 years and nobody knows how many lives. But the goal was for sure reached. The Cathedral was made in a stone, which is not from Denmark. And its not very good in the hard wind and rain we have on the west coast. So this year it was decided to start a repair of the beautiful stones in the Cathedral. It will take 10 year. 10 years parts of our pride will be covered in plastic. Let’s hope for a great result!
