Model number was not on the s/n data plate.
The Traxcavator name came from the Trackson Company of Milwaukee who Caterpillar had bought out in 1951 to obtain their loader technology. Trackson had been supplying loader equipment to Caterpillar for a number of years, mostly for the D2, D4 and D6 track type tractors. The Traxcavator trademark was quietly removed around 1963.
