Powers and abilities: Advanced technopathy. He can create, shape and manipulate technology and technological constructs. Karl is able to connect with machinery and create both a physical and mental link with electronics. Karl is obsessively interested in weaponry and often creates any sort of weaponized object that he can.

 

Improvements to his vital organs, eyes, muscles and joints are all enhancements that he has designed and had a surgeon implement for a hefty price. Karl's eyes are able to shift through different 'visions' including infrared, ultraviolet, targeting and magnifying modes. His vital organs, muscles and joints are reinforced to ensure both optimal efficacy and protection in the case of physical altercation.

 

Strengths: Any task involving machinery, technology, computers, etc. A vast knowledge of weaponry and explosives. Karl is a master manipulator and skilled liar. He is confident to a point of narcissism, he conveys an outward appearance of meekness in his workplace and any time he isn't acting as his persona of "Overkill" to seem innocent or otherwise mediocre.

 

Weaknesses: Karl does not want to have the weakness of a human body and will obsessively endure surgery after surgery to become more machine than man. He is incredibly paranoid to a point of mental fatigue. Because Karl does not care correctly for his body (favouring the mechanical pieces of himself over the organic), he often becomes ill.

 

Brief History: Karl had become interested in machinery at a young age when he found that he could build or fix virtually anything mechanical. This interest grew to computers when the ability overlapped and as Karl grew, he found that he didn't just understand technology, but could actually communicate effectively with it.

 

Never revealing the ability to family or friends, Karl utilised his advantage throughout school for both grades and tactics to instil fear if anyone bothered him. (This included his parents and classmates).

 

While in college, Karl was recruited by Amanda Waller to work on the Cadmus Project. With access to billions of dollars worth of information and technology, Karl began to log things away for his own means. He designed pieces for himself rather than the project and was let go by Waller because of his poor work ethic. Karl was quietly picked up by STAR Labs, Metropolis though his work with Waller was never referenced because the Cadmus Project was Top Secret. Working at STAR Labs as a security analyst, Karl found that he could get vast access to various networks around the world and unlock information that others may not want found.

 

After three years at the Metropolis Lab location, Karl adopted the online moniker of 'Overkill'. He began to sell information to companies and even other countries, committing high treason for a wealth of money.

 

Karl always believed that technology was superior to anything else. His obsession with technology grew and eventually, Karl dug up the ideas he had taken from his Cadmus project work. Tracking down a crooked surgeon in Charon City, Karl commissioned technological body enhancements to make himself stronger. The first commission was more of an experiment to his neck and shoulders. A mixture of metals was created by Karl and his spinal cord and jaw were reinforced and protected. Karl returned to work after 2 weeks of healing, using the cover of a car-accident for the plates in his jaw, neck, and shoulders.

 

Spending so much time with the surgeon in Charon City, Karl eventually put in for a transfer to STAR Labs, Charon and now resides in the city where his surgeon does the work. Karl continues to enhance his body, reinforcing his musculo-skeletal structure, his eyes, joints, and hopes to soon begin working with his own brain.

 

As Overkill continues to sell secrets online, he has gained a small, cult following and has moved into cyberterrorism. With people aiding Karl, he holds information hostage and brings weaponry and violence into the equation if his demands aren't met.
