Soon after we arrived at this spot, the Mom rounded up the little ones and moved them into the bushes, so this was a quick snap before that happened. Lions have been listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List since 1996 because populations in African countries have declined by about 43% since the early 1990s.
