From this vantage point a pleasing balance of horizontal and vertical elements, reminiscent of the work of Alvar Aalto, can be seen through the grand trees. The vocabulary is one of strip windows and glazed brick belt courses together with alternating stacked panels of curved glass block and glazed brick. Here, the building is raised above the ground on pylons to allow people to walk uninterrupted across the campus.
