Macro Monday #Inheritance

Macro Monday-Inheritance- Depression Glass from my Grandma.

Depression glass is clear or colored translucent glassware that was given free, or at low cost, in the U.S. and Canada around the time of the Great Depression (1920-1939).

The Quaker Oat Company and other food manufacturers put a piece of glass in their products as an incentive to purchase. (Wikipedia)

These dishes would have been My Grandmas' 'best' dishes. I cherish them because of the time it must have taken her to collect it. We always refer to them as 'Grandmas' Dishes'.

The glass came in various patterns, also. This pattern is called, MADRID, in amber.
