Nature Cross "Open Heart"

"Open Heart" is one of the most abstract crosses I have created. I found a very unique piece of driftwood. It was twisted into a heart. Truly a gift. It was a treasure to find. I don't find many heart shaped pieces of wood that are twisted. I put it on the cross and then let the spirit lead me to add other pieces. As it came together Jesus became the cross and the cross was Jesus. His arms is the cross beams. The piece I used for the head is perfectly shaped. I added a halo. This work is all wood.

 

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matthew 6:21

 

 

Nature Crosses are "all natural." I hike through God's amazing creation and find and collect indigenous treasures created by him. I love finding unique rocks (especially heart shaped ones) and refined smooth driftwood. I am then inspired to create these crosses out of what I find and given to me, as a gift, from Jesus. I create to bring our creator the glory due to his name and most holy cross.
