Nick in Porto, Portugal

In June 2015 Professor Nick Gilbert, along with PhD students Bernard Bainson and Emma McDougall, travelled to Porto in Portugal to attend the Workshop on Groups and Semigroups and the Joint Meeting of the American Mathematcial Society, the European Mathematical Society, and the Sociedade Portuguesa de Matematica.

While there Nick met up with Fernando Pestana Da Costa, President of the Sociedade Portuguesa de Matematica (and former HWU PhD student who graduated in 1993) and currently Associate Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Science and Technology of the Universidade Aberta.
