Je dois avouer être très surpris par le nombre et les habitudes de vie des dindons sauvages dans mon secteur. Habituellement, je les rencontrais plus souvent qu'autrement au bord d'un champ de culture adjacent ou non à la forêt, souvent au beau milieu du champ et très méfiants. Ici, dans les montagnes des Laurentides, ils semblent se plaire en milieu forestier. Ils ont leur dortoir au sommet des montagnes. Le ''Flight Down'' est habituellement tôt le matin, aux premières lueurs du jour. C'est pour cette raison que j'utilise une lentille vieille EF 200mm ou EF 300mm / 2.8 il y a très peu de luminosité lors du ''Flight Down''. Elles sont vraiment très habiles.

I must admit I'm very surprised by the number and habits of wild turkeys in my area. Usually, I encountered them more often than not at the edge of a crop field, whether adjacent to a forest or not, often right in the middle of the field and very wary. Here in the Laurentian Mountains, they seem to thrive in forested environments. They roost on mountaintops. Flight down is usually early in the morning at first light. That's why I use an old EF 200mm or EF 300mm / 2.8 lens; there's very little light during flight down. They are truly adept.
