Taken on Strength/Charge with the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Force with s/n 7483. Markings Applied: 601-35
In 1991 Recovered by Bruce Fenstermaker from Babo Airfield in western New Guinea originally for the Santa Monica Museum of Flying.
To Planes of Fame - Grand Canyon, Valle Airport, Grand Canyon, Arizona.
Purchased by the Planes of Fame Air Museum and displayed unrestored in Valle, Arizona. Credit: G.Takeuchi

Transported by ground. Delivered to Planes of Fame Air Museum, Chino Airport, Chino, California.
In 2009 Restored.
The lack of an original 1,200 hp twelve cylinder inverted vee Atsuta engine has necessitated the decision to complete the aircraft as a radial engineed D4Y3 version. A Pratt & Whitney R-1830 Twin Wasp is used for power.
