LadyArtist in Fur Coat on the Sofa

File: D0159

LadyArtist, Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom, on Tuesday 15th November 2016.

About the photographs.

This is Marie. She was a model, and on the booking website she used the pseudonym of LadyArtist.

I booked her for a two hours photo-shoot at my home, and the two hours was split into two different sections.

The first hour was to be a general fashion photo-shoot, outside in my back garden, both as stand-alone portraits and as assets for my graphic design projects. (You can see them in my Album titled LadyArtist (Marie)

The second hour was to be indoors type of photo-shoot. As I shoot mostly outdoors, I don’t have any proper portable studio lighting system, so I used mostly either daylight through the windows or flashgun on top of the camera.

Here, she is posing in a size XL faux fur coat from Roman Originals. She is also wearing her own black hold-ups stockings, and posing on the leather sofa in my living room.

Despite my being deaf with communications difficulties, Marie did remark that she found working with me to be going so well, and left positive reviews on my profile, on the model website where I booked her from.

About the fur coat.

Roman Originals started in 1957 as a family owned business in Birmingham, and originally as a manufacturing company.

They started manufacturing a wide range of ladies’ outfits, including daywear, evening wear, dresses, work clothes, and other accessories, including hats.

They sold those to shops and department stores in high streets, and by the 1990s, they started opening their own stores, and expaned to about 180 shops in the United Kingdom.

Some years later, they renamed their company to simply known as Roman, but still trading as Roman Originals PLC.

One of their productions, a black and blue dress became an online viral phenomenon, when the owner of the dress took a photo of it and showed to her daughter, whom perceived it as white with gold laces.

By around the 2020s, they went into administration, and the company managed to buy back the brand name, they are now trading as an online store.
