Babylon 5 actors
Julie Caitlin Brown and Patricia Tallman during the Collectormania 9 event, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, England, United Kingdom. Friday 28th April 2006.
About the event.
Both of the actress seen in the two photographs were in the 1990s American science fiction series Babylon 5 created by the writer and producer J Michael Straczynski. Here in the photographs, they were attending Collectormania 9, an annual fan convention event held in the United Kingdom, and was held on the weekend of Friday 28th April to Monday 1st May 2006.
Whenever I attended those fan convention, I was simply as a fan, hoping to get some autographs and buy some merchandises, rather than being a photographer actually doing photography. I had met both of them, and got their autographs, including Julie Caitlin Brown’s autograph on the cover of her CD, an album titled Sheddin’ My Skin.
About the photograph.
At that time, it was either their lunch break or at the end of the day, and they were heading back to their hotel or wherever they were staying. But first, they stopped at an event noticeboard, and here they were checking to see who else is attending. Most likely to see if any of their friends or co-stars were attending.
About the subject.
On the left is Julie Caitlin Brown (sometimes listed in credits simply as Caitlin Brown), an American actress, musician, and talent agent. She had been on stage, in movies, commercials, and television. She is known for her role as the Na’Toth (the Narn aide for Ambassador G’Kar) in Babylon 5. As a singer, she had released two albums.
On the right is Patricia Tallman, an American actress and stunt performer. In the Babylon 5 series, she played the human telepath Lyta Alexander. In additional to guest roles in other shows, she had also been a stunt performer for various actresses, including being a stunt double for Gates McFadden, whom played Dr Beverly Crusher in Star Trek: The Next Generation.
EXIF information.
Due to my busy life as a full-time single parent and carer, I lost my notes on the photographs. Also I had transferred the image files from one computer to other and then to another (when upgrading), most often by mistakenly saving it in another format, and as it was long before I managed to properly organize my photos and long before I had Lightroom, thus I don’t have any camera EXIF for those photographs.
It could have been my Minolta X-700 and the photo were scanned to CD at the same time it was developed and printed. Or it could have been my Olympus Camedia C-3040. It is also possible that I could have used both, by taking one photo with the X-700 and the other with the C-3040. Also likely could have been my Nikon D1, but definitely not the Nikon D200 as I did not have it until few years later.
