Essay Contest 2015
The 11th annual University of St. Thomas/Archdiocesan Essay Contest was celebrated with a Mass and Awards Ceremony on Jan. 20, 2015 at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, celebrated by the Most Rev. George A. Sheltz, auxiliary bishop of Galveston-Houston. More than 6,000 students from archdiocesan Catholic schools—third-graders through high school seniors—wrote essays for the contest.
The first and second place winners in 11th and 12th grades received a $2,000 scholarship to UST, if they enroll.
